Declaration of No Open Defecation program was held at Dhapkhola of Dhusa VDC on the chairmanship of local leader and social worker Mr. Durga Bahadur Surkehti. The Chief guest Mr. Birendra Pandey, secretary of "Drinking water and consumer federation, Dhading, has given short speech. Other guests Mr. Phul Raj Sharma from Dhading project of Shanti Nepal, Mother and Child Health Worker Shanta Thapalia from Sub-Health Post, other local FCHVs were also attended the program.

The program was a result of extensive awareness expidition regarding environment sanitation and toilet construction within three VDCs; Dhusa, Jogimara and Mahadevsthan run by Shanti Nepal project in Dhading. The community having 31 households now have toilets and using it in proper way.

In the midst of the program, local leader and social worker Mr. Durga Bahadur Surkheti has inaugurated the board written "No Open Defecation" on public place so that others may take it as an example.

Around 250 villagers from Dhapkhola village have enjoyed watching the documentary film show on health awareness; environment sanitation and toilet construction. The show 's main purpose was to encourage and to stimulate the villagers to declare their village as no open defecation.

Another documentary on nutrition was also shown to the villagers, which was very knowledgeable and practical for them to prepare nutritious super flour using their own resources.

After the show, we realized that the villagers are so encouraged and excited of the show and they intended to declare their village, in near future, as no open defecation.

 PHCRC, Chapagaun has farewelled Dr. Shanti Guring, Community Medical Officer as she decided to pursue further PG study.

o Mrs. Soluchana Shrestha has resigned from her post ‘Admin Finance Assistant’.
o Central office has organized short farewell program in central office for Mrs. Soluchana Shrestha and Dr. Shanti Gurung. Attendants have spoken the word of gratitude for their contribution while working with Shanti Nepal and the program was wrapped up with the words of prayer for their future career.
